Friendly, Sweet Guy Seeks Love and Affection

Stuart is waiting for you at PAWS.

Let me introduce myself.  I’m Stuart and I’m a real lap cat.  There is nowhere I would rather be than sitting in your lap and nothing I would like better than being pet.  I promise that I am not one of those felines that will tease you with a quick visit, jumping off the minute things don’t go my way.  If you like to cuddle, I would be your dream feline since I will roll over for you.  Can you be sure to give me some belly rubs while you are at it?  If you look at my picture, you will see that I have a really beautiful and touchable tummy.

I hope you can tell that I am a people guy. I am going to wait in the window for you to come home from work and I will greet you at the door.  I will put my paws on your shoulders to look at you eye-to-eye so we can decide what our night will include.  My hope is that you will play with me, brush me, and pet me.  I can sit on your lap while you watch television, or we can have a fast moving game of chase the string.  Whatever you decide is fine with me as long as we are doing it together.

Although I am young and fit, I have tested positive for the feline leukemia virus.  Please do not stop reading now.  You are already in love with me and you know it.  I promise my foster can answer all your questions about this test result and the bottom line is that I am currently healthy and expect to live a long life.  I would love to find a home with another FeLeuk+ cat so I can have a buddy.  I even get along with dogs!  But, if I am your one and only, that means I won’t have to share your love and attention—so that suits me fine, too.

If your idea of the perfect pet is a lap cat who will love you forever, then give me a call.  I think we could be a match.  Oh, did I mention I am a handsome fellow?

If you are interested in learning more about Stuart, contact PAWS at (781) 246-6111 or PAWSwakefield@yahoo.com.  You can also meet many of our pets at our adoption hours every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital and on the first Saturday of the month at the Woburn PETCO from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.  View all our available pets online.  And, follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/PAWS.01880.

With spring upon us, PAWS will soon be getting many requests to take in young mother cats with litters so we are currently seeking new volunteer foster homes.  For information on becoming a PAWS foster, please contact us via phone or email, or drop by any of our adoption hours.
