Online Fundraising Drive Created for Young Girl Battling Rare Cancer

According to GoFundMe.com, a Woburn woman hopes to raise money for her niece's battle against a rare disease.

A woman in Woburn is seeking donations to help a young girl battling a rare form of cancer, according to an online fundraising page.

According to a posting by Linda Miller on GoFundMe.com, she is seeking donations to help her niece Mackenzie, who was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

Miller created the page in November, and at the time wrote that that Mackenzie is undergoing treatment at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Boston. As of Wednesday, a total of $1,330 has been donated to the cause.

"I am asking for your support to help Mackenzie, Lisa and Rob through this very difficult time," Miller wrote. "Your donations would help this family pay medical expenses and needs for Mackenzie. Every dollar will make an impact. Donations as little as $1 can make a difference. Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and for considering how you can help this precious little girl and her amazing parents!"
