Woburn Celebrates Veterans Day With Parade, Ceremony

The Veterans Day parade begins Monday at 10:40 a.m.

Residents are encouraged to come out on Monday and show their support on Veterans day as the city hosts a parade, ceremony, and other festivities that honor those who have served the country in the armed forces.

Monday's parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Central Square on Main Street. at 10:40 a.m. the gathering will move forward to Woburn Town Common.

Following the parade at about 11 a.m., there will be a Veterans Day ceremony on Woburn Town Common.

Among the groups represented in the march will be American Legion Post 101 Cmdr. Joseph Limonciello, who will be the Chief Marshall, and Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.), Cmdr. Dave Epps, who will be the Chief of Staff.

The Woburn City Band, Woburn High School band, Woburn Little League, Boys and Girls Club, and many other city groups will also participate in the event.

Closing out the ceremony will be taps followed by the National Anthem performed by the Woburn City Band and Woburn High School band, sung by Joanne Campbell.
