Thanksgiving is next week, and if you hope to give thanks by sharing your time with others, The Dwelling Place is a possible venue.

Located at 523 Main Street with an entrance behind the United Methodist Church, The Dwelling Place is a soup kitchen that is sponsored by churches, businesses and neighborhood groups throughout Woburn.

The group, run by volunteers, offers free hot meals year round on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 5:30-6:45 p.m. For more information and to ask about volunteer opportunities, residents can email thedwellingplace1987@gmail.com.

Donations are also being accepted at The Dwelling Place. Residents can mail donations to The Dwelling Place, c/o UMC, 523 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.
