Woburn to Light the Common During Saturday Festivities

Woburn's annual event takes place on Saturday on Woburn Common.

With one holiday in the books, another one is right around the corner. And on Saturday in Woburn, residents will pack the common to ring in the season.

Woburn's 19th annual Festival on the Common is scheduled for Saturday from 3-7 p.m. and includes a lost list of festivities.

There will be a petting zoo, horse drawn hayrides, ice carving demonstrations, food, raffles, performances by choir groups, and carolers making the rounds and more.

Then at 4 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive from the North Pole and spend time with the families on the common before lighting the tree at 5:30 p.m.

Mayor Scott Galvin will also be a part of the evening as he recites 'Twas the Night Before Christmas along with children of Woburn.

Check back on Monday for photos from the festivities on Woburn Patch.
