Beyond Words

I have loved living in Woburn for 34 years. I love writing poetry and have a poetry/craft/greeting card business called Wonderful Moments. I love touching hearts with poetry.

Our Words

Words are letters placed together

Creating what we say

In our thoughts, our dreams, our talking

Our lives, our work, our play

Sometimes we may not know the strength

The words we say may hold

So, think before you speak, my friend

Or face consequences untold

With words we can bring endless joy

Or break a heart or two

Words sometimes can work miracles

There's much that words can do

To think that almost everyone

With words, possess such power

To speak whatever comes to mind

Each minute and each hour

So, may your words be happy ones

Both given and received

Remember as you speak each word

Who knows where they may lead...

Lemon melt a way cookies, so easy, so delicious

1 box Duncan Hines Lemon Supreme cake mix, 18.25 oz. size

1 8 oz. container defrosted Cool Whip

1 egg

Powdered sugar (confectionary sugar)

Mix cake mix, cool whip and egg together, it takes awhile to mix it up and will be sticky.  You might still see some small balls of cake mix, but they melt when you bake the cookies and you can mix them in when you see them as well.

Put some powdered sugar in a small bowl.  Using two spoons, take a teaspoon or so of mix, put it in the powdered sugar by using the other spoon to drop the mix into the sugar.  Roll the mix in the sugar.  Place on a greased cookie sheet.  (I use liners or parchment paper on my cookie sheets).  Space about a dozen cookies on a cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 11 - 12 minutes.  Cookies will not look cooked, but they are.  Let cool for at least 10 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet or they will fall apart.  Repeat with remaining mix until gone.  I believe it usually makes 3 dozen cookies.  Enjoy!!!
