After Injecting Heroin, Man Found Unconscious on Bathroom Floor

Police were dispatched to Constitutional Way on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 3:45 p.m. for a report of a man passed out in a men's bathroom.

Upon arrival, an officer was led to the stall of the bathroom where a man was sitting on the floor conscious but lethargic.

The man's belt was off and on the floor, as well as a used syringe. On the toilet paper holder was a spoon and a brown/white substance that appeared to be heroin residue.

Initially, the man refused to answer any questions regarding his health. When the EMTs and Woburn Fire Department members arrived, the man continued to be uncooperative and refused to go to the hospital.

When asked by EMTs how much heroin he had injected, he responded "only a little." The man eventually agreed to be transported to the hospital.

According to the witness who found the man, a coworker, he was passed out on the floor of the bathroom stall and the door was locked, the employee then went and got another person who crawled under the stall door and to get him to unlock it.

After the man was transported to the hospital, police took the spoon with heroin residue into a temporary drug drop at the state for destruction. They also safely disposed of the needle.
