Featured Incident

Police were called to Mill Street on Wednesday, Dec. 11, for to assist the Woburn Fire Department with a report of a vehicle on fire.

Upon arrival, officers found firefighters extinguishing a fire in the engine of a silver Saab registered to a woman in nearby Mill Street apartments.

According to a witness, the vehicle was running for about 30 minutes before it caught fire. Because of the fact that the owner did not return to the vehicle, it was decided that access to the owner's apartment was necessary.

When police entered the apartment, no one was home. Officers spoke to the car owner who said they had no knowledge of the fire and would be home from work in 45 minutes.

The Woburn Fire Department arson investigator was called to the scene and took photos of the damage.
