Featured Incident

Police were called to Kimball Court on Wednesday, Dec. 4, for a report of a disturbance possibly involving a baseball bat.

When officers arrived, they were met by a man and woman behind the building. The man did not want to speak with police while the woman reported that she had walked out of her car in the rear lot and observed a man screaming and waving a bat.

Initially the woman said she did not know the man, but later said she did know him and identified him to police. The woman added that the man with the bat did not approach her with the bat and she was not in fear that he would attack her. He was, however, making threats to harm the man she was with.

The woman said she approached him attempting to learn what the problem was. While the man said he was in his apartment at the time of the incident and continue his unwillingness to talk to police, the reporting woman said the second man had an issue with her son because they were seeing the same woman.

Dispatch had been informed there was another witness to the incident, but they were never located. The woman was advised by the officer on scene of her rights in the event that she wanted to seek any charges or restraining orders.

While dealing with the initial incident, police located a second unrelated incident during which a female was found with cuts on her wrist. She was treated at the scene and picked up by her mother.
