Building Evacuated After Gas Scare

Woburn firefighters checked each business and found no natural gas problems.

A New Boston Street building was evacuated on Tuesday morning after a report of a natural gas smell in the building.

After evacuating the businesses at 185 New Boston St., and shutting off gas to the building shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday, Woburn firefighters checked each business and found no natural gas problems, according to Woburn Fire.

Firefighters allowed people to return to the building and spoke to building management, which said it will repair the gas line. The Fire Department also notified the cityโ€™s gas inspector to follow up, said Woburn fire.ย
