Other Incidents

July 10-

At 11 a.m. a man came to the lobby to report that he was assaulted by his supervisor. The man said he works at a local security company and that on July 6 his supervisor accused him of sleeping on the job and showed him a picture of him supposedly sleeping that the supervisor took on his phone. The man said that his supervisor became aggressive, hitting the table in frustration and eventually jumped at him. The man said this caused him to run out of the building crying. The man said he was no physically struck and could not say if his supervisor made any verbal threats to harm him.

Police advised him to speak to another supervisor and to call the police station if he felt afraid.

At 7:50 p.m. police responded to a Whispering Hill Road residence on a report of a disturbance. Police were familiar with the residence and confirmed with dispatch that the call came from the ex-boyfriend of a daughter of the family who said he heard yelling in the background when he called.

Police spoke to the mother who said that since her daughter’s breakup the ex-boyfriend has repeatedly called trying to speak to her. He is also in a treatment center after making suicidal statements.

Police called the treatment center and asked that the ex-boyfriend’s phone be turned off. Police said they must respond to emergency calls and the calls from him sending them to his ex-girlfriend’s house on unfounded emergencies was tying up resources.

A worker at the treatment center said she would turn the phone off for the night and speak to a doctor in the morning about possibly having the phone removed.
