Featured Incident

On Friday, Nov. 22, police were called to Salem Street for a report of larceny.

Officer arriving were met by a woman who said the catalytic converter was stolen off of her vehicle.

The woman said the theft occurred while her vehicle was parked in the rear parking lot garage section of On the Border Mexican Grill on Commerce Way.

The vehicle was parked there and unoccupied between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Upon attempting to drive away from the area, the woman said she immediately noticed the loud exhaust noise from her vehicle.

Police looked at the undercarriage of the woman's vehicle and noticed that the catalytic converter was missing.

It appeared that the exhaust pipe was possibly cut with a saw, since the edges of the pipe were clean cut and straight.
