Charges Reinstated in Killing of Woburn Officer Jack Maguire

According to a report on MyFoxBoston.com, the Supreme Judicial Court reinstated four assault charges and one firearms charge from the 2010 death of the Woburn Police Officer.

Though five charges were originally dismissed against Scott Hanright for his role in the 2010 line of duty death of Woburn Police Officer Jack Maguire, Hanright may still be punished for those crimes after a Massachusetts court overruled that dismissal on Wednesday.

According to a report on MyFoxBoston.com, the Supreme Judicial Court reinstated four assault charges and one firearms charged against Hanright. This comes after a judge initially found Hanright could not be held responsible for the actions of co-conspirator Domenic Cinelli, who died while exchanging gunfire with Maguire during an attempted robbery at Kohl's Department Store.

"We have reviewed the evidence presented to the grand jury and conclude, contrary to the motion judge, that there is sufficient evidence to support the challenged indictments," Justice Francis Spina wrote for the court, according to the MyFoxBoston.com report. "Whether the defendant knowingly participated in, and harbored the intent required for, the escape-related crimes is a question appropriately left for trial."
