Featured Incident

Police were called to Wyman Street on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 4:53 p.m. for a report of a breaking and entering.

Upon officer arrival, police were met by the homeowners who said that several items were missing from their home, taken sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

One of the homeowners said that he was in and out of the house running errands before work and that he left through a side door. The man said he recalls forgetting to lock the door as he left.

When he returned home, the resident was looking for his iPad and noticed that it was missing. His wife then returned home and found that her and her two daughters' jewelry boxes were missing from their respective rooms.

The wife then noticed that the Christmas presents that had been recently purchased had been stolen from the shopping bags in the dining room.

There were no signs of forced entry to the home and the family did not have any suspects in mind at the current time.

While investigating, police located a mailman that had seen some suspicious individuals. According to the postal worker, there was a dark four-door vehicle possibly with out of state plates in the area.

The vehicle pulled up in front of the home, a man got out and walked towards the door and a woman drove the vehicle away, made a U-turn on Fredrick Street and returned to the Wyman Street driveway.

No other witnesses to the crime were located, and the residents were advised to create an itemized list of the stolen property.
