UPDATED: Seven People Transported to Hospital Following Accident on Route 95

Motorists should expect delays.

Update 3 p.m. 

At this time, the crash on the Winn Street Ramp has been cleared.

The Mass State Police said a total of seven people were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The truck operator was transported by ambulance and six people were also transported from the passenger car.

The truck was towed off of the roadway and will be inspected by the State Police Commercial Enforcement Section. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation and no citations have been issued thus far.

Crews are responding to a report of a collision between a trash truck and a car on Interstate 95 North in Woburn.

The crash occurred on the Winn Street exit ramp at around 1:06 p.m., according to State Police. Injuries have been reported and Woburn firefighters have been called to extricate an injured passenger from the car. 

The ramp is closed and motorists should expect significant delays.
