DA Releases Dramatic Walgreens Footage Hoping to Find Robbery Suspects

According to the District Attorney's office, two men entered the store with hand guns and assaulted employees.

On Tuesday night, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan released security footage from the Tuesday armed robbery of Walgreens in Woburn. Ryan continues to work with the Woburn Police Department to track down three suspects who assaulted employees and made off with prescription drugs.

The footage shows the three men enter through the front door wearing hooded sweatshirts to hide their faces. Two of the men brandished guns during the incident, which took place at 675 Main Street Tuesday at 7:50 p.m.

In releasing the security video, Ryan and Woburn Police Chief Roberty Ferullo are hoping residents can help identify the men involved in the crime.

Police said that the suspects grabbed a store clerk working at the front of the store, held her down, tied her with zipties and threatened her with violence.

After that initial assault, police said two other men ran towards the pharmacy desk and threatened the clerk. Footage shows that one man held a gun to her head and ordered her to open the cabinet that houses narcotics.

Once they obtained the drugs, the suspects tied up the clerk and ripped the engagement ring and wedding band from her finger.

After filling a bag and box with prescription pills, the men left the store and fled the area in an older model, dark colored Jeep Cherokee, according to police.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Woburn Police Detectives at (781) 933-1212.
