Featured Incident

On Saturday, Jan. 11, police were called to a Main Street car dealership to see an employee about a theft that occurred.

Upon arrival, an employee met officers and explained that sometime over the last few days, more likely late at night, someone jacked up one of their new Jeep Wranglers and removed four rims.

The vehicle was parked alongside many other new Jeeps near the rear of the building. According to the man, the vehicle was left on cinder blocks and it is also feared that this may have damaged the steering mechanism.

Additional Incident

Police were called to Kohl's on Saturday, Jan. 11, for a report of a shoplifter at about 4:45 p.m.

Officers were met by a Loss Prevention employee who said they had a female shoplifter under their control. The woman concealed a pair of Nike running sneakers worth about $80 in a large black purse and exited Kohl's without paying for the item.

The woman did not have a criminal record and had no active warrants. She was escorted out of the store and informed she is no longer allowed inside Kohl's Department Stores.
