Donohue, Red Cross, to Hold Blood Drive this Thursday

Injured MBTA officer and Woburn resident Richard Donohue Jr. and the American Red Cross announced last Wednesday on Facebook that they will join forces to promote a summer blood drive, a release by Woburn's Social Capital Inc. states.

Donohue, 33, of Woburn, who was recently released from Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, was wounded from the shootout in Watertown with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects in April.

Donohue mentioned on his Facebook page that he is excited about this partnership with the American Red Cross to promote summer blood donations.
