UPDATE: Downed Pole Likely to Cause Traffic Delays for Three to Four Hours

Updated Friday at 2:18 p.m.: As of about 1:45 p.m., Cambridge Road is open for business again.

"Cambridge Road now open to traffic," Woburn Police tweeted. "Thank you for your patience!"

Original story posted Friday at 11:15 a.m.: A downed pole is causing a traffic headache on Friday morning after it snapped and fell in the middle of the road.

According to Woburn Police on Twitter, the pole was taken down on Cambridge Road near Sylvanus Wood Lane. Detours are taking place at Locust Street and Bedford Road, though police said to avoid the area if possible.

A Woburn Police tweet just after 11 a.m. indicated that officers expect detours to last three to four hours.
