Ex-Employee Wrote $250,000 Worth of Forged Checks

Police have identified a suspect.

Woburn Police are investigating a case in which a former employee forged about $250,000 worth of checks.

An employee of a Woburn painting company reported to police on Wednesday that he found that about 30 checks were forged and cashed between August and November 2013. He said a former employee, who was fired for another matter in November, was the person who forged the checks.

Police have identified a suspect and are investigating.
