Featured Incident

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, an officer spoke to a resident who had ongoing larceny issues with her son.

The woman said her son has a drug problem, and she tried unsuccessfully to help him many times.

According to the reporting party, the son has a vehicle that is registered to her husband and he refuses to return it. The woman informed the son that she would report it stolen if it wasn't returned by 5 p.m. The man did not return the vehicle as instructed.

Police were also informed by the woman that earlier this year the son also gained access to her and her husband's bank account and stole $2,700 without permission, and at one point also stole jewelry and checks from family members worth thousands of dollars.

A stolen vehicle report was filed, and the woman was advised of the steps she needs to take to get a restraining order.
