Tuesday, April 19— officers were sent to Burlington Tuesday to assist with the search for a man at the Burlington Mall with a rifle. Turns out the man had an umbrella that just looked like a rifle. 

Tuesday, April 19—At 4:40 p.m., police were called to the area of School Street and Lord Terrace for a report of a four-year-old boy walking along the street alone. When the responding officer arrived, he found the boy with two callers who had stayed with him, concerned for his safety. The boy told police he was trying to walk to his mother’s work. Police brought the boy to his mother, who said that he was supposed to be home with his grandfather. Police left the child with his mother and spoke to the grandfather. According to the man, he had been cleaning part of the house and asked the boy’s brother to watch him. When the brother left the house, the four-year-old followed him, but lost him. Police notified the Department of Children and Families of the incident.

Wednesday, April 20—Woburn Police were called to the Citizens Bank on Montvale Avenue around 11 a.m. for a report of a man in a yellow rain slicker who had demanded cash from a teller. , the man covered his face with two envelopes and appeared to be in his 50s or 60s. After an hour-long search, police cleared the scene and are continuing to investigate. 

Thursday, April 21—At 3:08 p.m., Akim Jonathan Lloyd, 19, of 31 Patterson Way Apt. #458 in Boston, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250 and receiving stolen property over $250. Police responded to a report of a theft at the  at the . According to the caller, a black male wearing black pants, black sweatshirt and a baseball hat with yellow writing on it, had just taken two iPhones and fled the store. Two officers, who were directing traffic, at an accident on Mishawum Road near Gardner Street saw a car with a black male fitting the description of the suspect “laying across the back seat trying to conceal his identity.” The officers followed the vehicle and saw that it had stopped on Washington Street. According to police, a man was seen jogging away from the vehicle. He was stopped and admitted to taking the two iPhones from the store. The phones were recovered on the ground near the suspect.
