POLICE LOG: Baby Jesus Stolen From Church

Dec. 28—At 8:13 p.m., police received a report of a stolen item at St. Charles Church. According to police, an unknown suspect stole the church’s Baby Jesus statue from a display. Police observed that the suspect removed the protective covering from the display and took the figurine. Joseph and Mary were left in place.

 

Woburn Man Stabbed at New Year's Eve Party

Jan. 1—A Woburn man was stabbed several times during a New Year's Eve party in Vermont early this morning.

 

POLICE LOG: Woman Leaves Car "Somewhere"

Dec. 31—At 11:43 p.m., a Burlington woman reported her car stolen. According to police, the woman parked her car outside a restaurant “somewhere in Woburn Center” and left the keys inside. The woman was unable to tell police which restaurant. Police could not find the vehicle and entered it into the computer system as stolen.

 

Jan. 2—At 9:12 a.m., a Woburn woman reported receiving harassing phone calls. According to police, the woman told the officer she used her EBT card to pay for drinks at a bar and a cab ride from Malden. Since the purchase, she said she has been receiving unsolicited phone calls from the cab driver.

Jan. 2—At 11:25 a.m., an Andover man who works in Woburn called police to report ongoing harassment issues. According to police, the man said he is being stalked by a former neighbor. The victim told police this man has visited his work, although he has not seen him, and left signs that he was there. Police reported the victim believes the man left a cigarette butt in the center of a white line in the parking lot as a sign he was there, and also released the air out of the victim’s car tire. The victim also informed police that the stalker has a night scope and is “very stealthy.” The detective division is following up.
