The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account.
Officers were called on Friday, Jan. 17, for of theft reported by a telephone and cable company on Conn Street.
Officer spoke to the company's manager, who said he recently terminated an employee who then failed to turn over his company issued tablet and also did not turn in over $1,000 that had been collected from his customers.
The failed payments allegedly started in January and continued up until his termination.
According to the manager, the former employee will not answer any phone calls and as of this date refused to return in the tablet.
