Featured Incident

On Saturday, Dec. 14, at 12:45 p.m. an officer spoke to a woman in the lobby who believed her gold jewelry had been stolen.

The Woburn woman said that two weeks ago she went to look for a gold necklace and could not locate it. While searching for that particular piece of jewelry, she noticed a pair of earrings and a rope chain with a cross were missing as well.

According to the woman, on October 26 her home was filled with family members and friends who were gathered for a family member's funeral service.

Although the woman would not mention names, she believes it was during this gathering that the jewelry was taken. The woman said that the people responsible for the alleged theft live in New Hampshire or the Arlington area.

Additional Incident

On Thursday, Dec. 12, a resident spoke to an officer about a package that was stolen from her doorstep.

According to the woman, she ordered a laptop from Walmart the previous week and according to the company it was delivered sometime between December 9 and December 11.

The woman, however, said she never received the package and believes someone stole it from her, though she doesn't know who may have done so.

Police advised the woman that during the holiday season this is a common crime and in the future she should ensure that deliveries require signature in the future.
