The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account.

Featured Incident

On Monday, Nov. 18, a Carroll Road caller informed police that damage was done to a motor vehicle.

Officers arrived and were told that a woman parked her Hyundai Sonata in the driveway of a home while assisting a patient at the residence.

When the woman returned to her vehicle, she noticed that a lawn mower was pressed against the driver's side front quarter panel area of her car. For insurance purposes, the woman took several cell phone pictures.

A lawn care company was on site, and the owner was on scene as well. The man said the company is fully licensed and insured and that an employee was the person operating the lawn mower.

The woman was advised to will out an accident report, and she was provided with the company owner and employee's insurance information.

Additional Incident

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 6:40 p.m. an officer took a report of fraud from a woman in the lobby.

The woman said that she was shopping recently when her debit card was declined at three different stores. She then called the bank and was told they had placed a hold on her account.

The woman went online to check her account, and found there were four unauthorized transactions totaling $123.77.

There were no suspects in the fraudulent use, and the resident was told to file out a police report on the incident.
