Featured Incident

Police responded to a Main Street business on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at about 8 a.m. for a report of stolen construction equipment.

Officers spoke to the reporting party who said that someone had cut a hole in the chain link fence surrounding the construction site and stolen about $200 in copper fittings and about $560 in copper wire.

There is surveillance video of the parties' actions, although the distance involved makes it difficult to see.

It appeared as though the two men entered the construction site, one dressed in jeans and a white hoodie that was over his head and pulled tight. The other was wearing dark colored clothing.

The theft occurred around 1:30 a.m. and the parties carried the equipment and exited through the hole in the fence.

Police continue to investigate the incident and received a copy of the surveillance video.
