Featured Incident

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, a Court Street resident called police to report a stolen bicycle.

The man said that the bike was taken from outside his home the previous night.

According to the resident, his orange Haro bicycle was outside of his back door and when he came out in the morning it was gone. The bicycle had black tires, black forks, and black handle bars.

The man said that the bike also had a brand new heavy duty chain on it.

Additional Incident

Earlier in the week, on Saturday, Oct. 26, a woman on Cedar Street also called to report larceny of a bicycle.

Police met the reporting party, who said her bicycle was taken earlier in the day from the Anderson Transportation Center on Atlantic Ave.

The woman said the bike was stored and locked on the bicycle rack at about 7:10 a.m. The woman then took the train to work and returned around 8:30 p.m. to find that her bike was no longer there.

According to the caller, the bike was a mountain bike with a white frame, pink brake lines, front and back reflectors, and was valued at around $200.

Police requested a copy of the surveillance camera from the train station.
