On Thursday, Sept. 12, a Winn Street employee called police to inform them of threats that had been made. The caller said another employee was fired the previous day, came back to the business on Thursday and threatened her.
According to the caller, she saw the man come through the door and thought it was odd because he had been asked to stay away from the business after being fired. When he came in the door he allegedly said to the woman, “You haven’t seen anything. Wait and see what I do on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.”
The woman called the manager, who advised her to call the police. A report was filed on the incident.
On Thursday, Sept. 12, at about 5:47 p.m., a detective spoke to a man in the lobby who was reporting a missing gold chain.
The man said he works at a business on Industrial Parkway and that the previous day he left a gold rope chain on his desk because it had been broken earlier. After leaving the gold chain on his desk, he asked an employee to come to the area to speak to him about a previous theft of gas.
The caller said the other employee arrived at the cubicle while it was unoccupied. When the reporting party returned to his desk, the chain was missing. The reporting man said he reviewed the video surveillance and the only person who entered the unoccupied cubicle by himself was the employee in question.
When he confronted the employee about the incident, the man denied any theft before the manager even informed him about the reason for the conversation.
