Featured Incident

Dispatch received a call for a possible overdose on Commerce Way on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at about 9:30 p.m.

Upon arriving in the area, the officer saw a red vehicle flash his high beams at him and he then began to drive around the building.

The officer followed the vehicle to the rear of a Commerce Way building and the driver stopped behind a parked vehicle. He stepped out of the car and told police that he had called about the overdose for the vehicle that he pointed out.

With the medical kit from his cruiser, the officer approached the driver's side and found a man slumped over the center console. The man was unresponsive and there was a needle nearby.

When the officer evaluated the man, he was breathing despite being unresponsive. Police monitored his condition until the Woburn Fire Department arrived.

As the man was being placed in the ambulance, he began to regain consciousness.
