Police Log: Cops Make Two Warrant Arrests

At 2:03 p.m., an employee of a Winn Street business reported a fraudulent check. The employee said a customer paid $402 for car repairs with a check from a closed bank account. The account belonged to a man who died. Police contacted the car’s owner and told her that a report was being filed. She said she would contact the business and rectify the issue.

At 3:16 p.m., police arrested Stephanie Marie Eagleston, 22, 15 Floyd St., Woburn, and charged her on a warrant for violating an abuse prevention order and criminal harassment. Police pulled over a vehicle on Kilby Street after an officer saw the car’s brake light wasn’t working.  Police ran the information of the three people in the car and found a warrant for Eagleston’s arrest.

At 4:11 p.m., police responded to West Marine about a shoplifting. The employee said two people left with a large plastic Kohl’s bag that was filled with West Marine clothing, including a West Marine jacket, a multi-colored summer dress and another 15-20 clothing items. More than $1,200 worth of clothes were taken. Police found the shoplifters’ vehicle belonged to a leasing company that works with AVIS car rental. Police contacted AVIS about the vehicle to get information about the person who rented the car.

At 5:16 p.m., police arrested Kaneika Shaniece Sanford, 24, 10 Ridgewood St., Apt. 3, Dorchester, and charged her on two warrants for larceny by check more than $250, uttering a false check and forgery of a check. Police made the arrest at the Fairfield Inn.
