POLICE LOG: 'Antique' Artwork Stolen

Aug. 8 – At 8:55 p.m., a Woburn woman reported three pieces of stolen artwork. According to police, the woman had moved recently to the West Side and said that three items—two wooden inlays of an eagle and a Baltimore oriole and an antique Asian silk painting—were missing.

Other Incidents:

Aug. 8 –

At 3:12 p.m., police responded to Montvale Avenue for a report of a two-car crash. According to police, both cars were exiting the Route 93 off-ramp and collided they taking the turn. There were no reported injuries.

At 4:09 p.m., Donna A. Brown, 56, of 4 Ellis Court, was arrested and charged with assault and battery (domestic) and vandalism/destruction of property. According to police, the victim told officers that she drove Brown to the police station because Brown had been drinking. A witness reported seeing Brown attempt to strangle the victim and then get out of the car and kick the victim’s vehicle. Brown left the area, but was tracked down by police at the Best Gas Station. She was taken into custody and brought back to the station, reported police.

At 5:32 p.m., a Locust Street resident reported a car damaged by another vehicle while parking in a lot.

At 7:55 p.m., a 32-year-old North Andover woman was summonsed to Woburn District Court for not having an inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle after license revocation. According to police, the man was stopped on Main Street after driving past an officer, who observed the expired inspection sticker.
