POLICE LOG: Apartment Break-In Reported, Items Stolen

At 7:25 p.m. police responded to a Westgate Drive apartment for a call of a past breaking and entering.  The caller said that he left for work at about 8:45 that morning and returned home at 7 p.m. to find his television missing. He also checked the rest of the apartment and found a metal briefcase missing from the bedroom closet.

The television was worth $400. The metal briefcase contained personal papers and financial statement.

Police noticed a slide door was ajar and found footprints in the snow which the victim said were not there the night before. Victim doesn’t remember if he had locked the slide door.

 

Other Incidents

Feb. 12

At 9:57 a.m. police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Green Street. When police arrived the operator of the vehicle was speaking to the pedestrian, who refused medical treatment. The driver said she was trying to merge onto Main Street and did not see the pedestrian.
