Police Log: Attempted Burglary Reported on Grove Street

At 10:14 a.m., police responded to a car accident at Main Street and Mishawum Road. A trailer struck a traffic control light pole while attempting to turn right onto Main Street. The driver didn’t realize he struck the pole and kept driving. Police pulled over the driver about a half-mile from the crash and exchanged paperwork.

At 10:27 a.m., a person reported that his mother-in-law’s vehicle was damaged while parked on Walnut Street last week. There were two deep gouges on the side of the vehicle.

At 10:41 a.m., police responded to Grove Street about an attempted burglary. He said he found the back door handle was broken from the door and the window screen was opened. The door was not forced open and there was no entry gained to the residence. There was nothing missing. Police informed the person how to increase security at the house.

At 1:39 p.m., police responded to Elm Street concerning a possible threat made by a former employee. The employee received a negative review and reportedly became angry and told her boss that “justice will be served.” The person was let go, but the boss wanted to inform police. Police advised her how to get a no trespass order against the former employee.
