Police Log: Burglary Reported on Blueberry Hill Road

Sunday, June 1

At 7:45 a.m., police responded to Woods Hill Circle after a one-car accident. A driver was making a U-turn and used a driveway. He struck a Gorilla Cart filled with a bag of cement. The cart was totaled, the cemented emptied into the street and a mailbox was damaged.

At 2:53 p.m., police received a call after a car was burglarized on Salem Street. She said someone stole her purse from an unlocked car. A driver’s license, two Social Security cards, several gifts cards and $300 were taken.

Monday, June 2

At 9:08 a.m., police responded to a car accident involving a bicyclist on Central Street. The bicyclist was struck as he pulled into a driveway. He complained of rib pain and was taken to Lahey.

At 9:39 a.m., a 2nd Street resident reported that a person threw a rock through a car window and ransacked a vehicle. The man said he bought marijuana from a man and he placed the pot into his trunk. He believes the dealer followed him home and broke into the vehicle in hopes of retrieving the drug, which was missing from the trunk.

At 4:34 p.m., a person reported that his laptop was stolen from a room at the Red Roof Inn. He said he accidently left the laptop behind when he checked out. Red Roof staff checked the room, but the laptop was no longer there.

At 5:05 p.m., a Blueberry Hill Road resident reported a burglary. She said she was on vacation for two months and noticed that a cuckoo clock, various costume jewelry, gold chains and a gold watch were missing. The jewelry is estimated at $1,000 and the cuckoo clock is estimated at $250. There were no signs of forced entry.
