Police Log: Car Break-ins Reported on Bird Street

At 2:26 p.m., an officer spoke to an 18-year-old Woburn resident after the officer spotted the man with a plastic bag containing marijuana on Main Street. Police confiscated the marijuana, which was three grams, and spoke to the man.

At 7:26 a.m., police responded to two car break-ins on Bird Street. Someone entered the unlocked vehicles and rummaged through the glove boxes. A large red bag/pocketbook was taken form one vehicle. Police found the bag several streets away on Elm Avenue and most of the contents were still inside except for a credit card.

At 9:34 p.m., police placed a 44-year-old Woburn man into protective custody after a report of a man acting odd. Police spoke to the man, who had been drinking alcohol with friends. Officers placed the man into protective custody.ย
