Police Log: Cops Respond to Heroin Overdose Call

At 4:59 p.m., police responded to Montvale Avenue about possible drug activity. Police arrived and found four teens blowing smoke in the air. Police smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana. The teens acknowledged that they were smoking marijuana, but denied taking any other drugs. Police searched the teens and found one was carrying a knife, which he said he got from his house. Police drove the teens home.

At 5:59 p.m., a Woburn resident reported identity fraud. She said she received a letter from the IRS saying that her social security number was used to file a tax return and the matter was under investigation. She said she lost her wallet about four months ago and the wallet included her driver’s license and credit cards, but her social security card was not in the wallet. Police took a report.

At 7:28 p.m., police responded to the Target parking lot about a drug overdose call. Police found a 56-year-old woman unconscious in a car. The woman eventually regained consciousness and acknowledged that she took heroin earlier that day. She was transported to the hospital.
