POLICE LOG: Couple Fights Over 'Life Issues'

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

July 18 – At 2:56 p.m., a caller reported a disturbance on Chestnut Street. According to police, two people said they were fighting loudly about “life issues,” but there was no physical contact.

At 6:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to Arlington Road for an argument heard over an open 911 line. According to police, dispatch could hear the argument over the open line, but was not able to speak to anyone. When police arrived, officers spoke to both people, who said that they argued verbally over a television.

Other Incidents:

July 18 –

At 8:03 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Mishawum Road and Commerce Way. According to police, both operators stated they had green lights when the crash occurred in the intersection.

At 12:02 p.m., a Marlborough man reported he was threatened while he was at work in Woburn. According to police, the suspect said he would shoot the man and his family.

At 12:04 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident on Commerce Way at the Route 93 ramp. According to police, a Wakefield woman in the right-turn lane was traveling straight when she was struck by a car turning in the second right-turn lane. The woman was cited for a marked lanes violation.

At 5:05 p.m., a Woburn woman reported her credit card was used without her permission in England three times.

At 5:47 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Olympia and Hobson avenues. According to police, the two cars collided at the intersection as one car was turning onto Olympia. Police stated the driver was traveling too fast for the turning car to see it. There were no reported injuries.   

July 19 –

At 2:24 a.m., a Prospect Street resident reported his car broken into and several items stolen. According to police, the man noticed the interior light on in his car. He went outside to check and found that several items had been taken from the car, including a pair of Air Jordan XI sneakers, a wallet, cash, an ATM card, driver’s license and GPS unit.
