POLICE LOG: 'Detective' Questions Woburn Man on Homicide

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Nov. 19 – At 9:10 p.m., a Woburn man reported receiving a strange phone call from a man claiming to be a Boston Police detective. According to police, the man called from a Malden telephone number and hung up when asked for his badge number. The man reported that the caller claimed to have questions about an October homicide in the city of Boston.

Nov. 19 –

At 7:07 p.m., police were called to a four-car accident on Willow Street at Bedford Road. According to police, one driver admitted to being distracted by using her Bluetooth and rear-ended a car, causing a chain reaction accident. There were no reported injuries, said police. That driver was cited for “impeded operation.”

At 1:40 p.m., Miguel Perez Degarcia, 26, of 40 Florence St. Apt. #1 in Roslindale, was arrested and charged with distribution of a Class A drug (Heroin) and possession of a Class B drug (Suboxone) during a Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force investigation. According to police, the arrest occurred during a motor vehicle stop in the area of Montvale Avenue and Washington Street.

Nov. 20 –

At 8:37 a.m., Andrew Richard Trickel, 26, of 7 Vining Court Apt. #2, was arrested and charged on two outstanding warrants. According to police, Trickel was taken into custody at Dunkin Donuts on Main Street.

At 9:03 a.m., police received a report of a damaged electrical box in the Woburn Mall parking lot. According to police, a tractor trailer backed into the box, causing the damage. There were no injuries, said police.

At 12:24 p.m., Maritza Alicea, 35, of 85 Spring Court Ext., was arrested and charged with six outstanding warrants. According to police, Alicea was interviewed during an investigation into thefts at TJ Maxx. Police learned she had the outstanding warrants and took her into custody.

At 3:08 p.m., police were called to a two-car accident at Wood Street and Montvale Avenue.

At 5:23 p.m., Daniel Thomas White, 44, of 111 Pleasant St. Apt. #2, was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant. According to police, White was taken into custody at his home.

At 10:16 p.m., an officer responded to a car crash on Washington Street at Tower Office Park. According to police, one driver attempted to stop but her brakes locked, causing her to hit the car in front of her. There were no reported injuries, said police.
