Police Log: Driver Cited After Leaving Parked Car in Reverse
Wednesday, July 23
At 11:33 a.m., a driver in Horn Pond Plaza left her parked car running to keep it cool and exited the vehicle. She left the vehicle in reverse rather than park. The vehicle backed over a traffic island and struck another parked car. Police cited the driver with leaving a running motor vehicle unattended.
At 7:34 p.m., a Woburn resident reported credit card fraud. He said his credit card was missing and there were five fraudulent charges on the card.
Thursday, July 24
At 4:12 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Green and Highland streets. One driver reportedly didn’t stop at a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. The vehicle that didn’t stop continued into a nearby yard and damaged bushes and a lawn. One driver was taken to Winchester Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver cut a finger, but refused medical treatment. Both vehicles were towed.

At 5:16 p.m., an intoxicated 33-year-old Lowell woman was placed into protective custody after a report of a domestic incident.
