Police Log: Driver Flees Scene After Striking Pedestrian

Monday, May 12

At 1:57 p.m., police responded to the Woburn Public Library about a patron acting suspiciously. Library employees said the man stole DVDs from the Woburn Library, as well as ones from Winchester and Lexington. He has also been belligerent toward library staff about late fees. Police suggested the library could seek a criminal complain and issue a no trespass order.

 

Tuesday, May 13 

At 9:22 a.m., police arrested Jimmie D. Walker, 50, 75 Bedford St., Burlington, and charged him with violating an abuse prevention order.

At 11:14 a.m., police received a call from Cambridge Road about two stolen vanity lights. She said UPS told her the lights were delivered to her address in April, but she did not receive them.

At 7:05 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Cambridge and Revere roads. One passenger was taken to Winchester Hospital. There was minor damage to both vehicles.

At 9:14 p.m., police responded to a pedestrian accident at Winn and Pleasant streets. A woman, a 59-year-old Woburn resident, said she was crossing the street when a car taking a right onto Pleasant Street struck her on her left thigh/knee area. She fell to the ground and the driver fled the scene. Woburn Fire checked the woman at the scene, but she refused medical attention.
