POLICE LOG: Drug Task Force Arrests Two Thursday

An excerpt from the Woburn Police Department's May 19-20 police log.

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

May 19 –

At 5:57 a.m., police responded to a report of a parked car damaged by an unknown vehicle on Garfield Avenue.

At 4:41 p.m., a Georgia man reported his laptop computer was stolen while he was in the bar area of the Unicorn Park Marriot. According to the victim, he left the laptop on a table and went to the bar. When he returned an hour later, the laptop was gone.

At 5:08 p.m., Anthony Thomas Dacosta, 24, of 134 Garfield Ave., was arrested and charged conspiracy to violate the drug law. At the same time, Wilfredo Gonzalez, 22, of 335 Centre St. in Boston, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Class A substance (heroin), possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (cocaine) and conspiracy to violate the drug law. Both men were taken into custody during an ongoing Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force investigation.

May 20 –

At 2:29 a.m., police and fire responded to a medical aid call on Carter Place. One man was taken to Winchester Hospital via Woburn Fire.
