POLICE LOG: Grieving Widow has Wedding Ring, Husband's Wedding Ring, Stolen

Dec. 10 - At approximately 1:15 p.m. police responded to a call of a larceny report. A woman whose husband had passed had family members at her home to console her. Later that night, she noticed several items missing from her residence, including her wedding ring and engagement ring, her deceased husband’s wedding ring and $750 in cash. Names of suspects provided to police.

Dec. 10 -

At 8:31 p.m. police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Target. Loss prevention reported detaining a suspect who had attempted to steal a DVD collection of “The Wire” valued at $129.99. Suspect to be summonsed.

At 8:49 p.m. a driver on Cedar Street reported being involved in a hit-and-run accident. Caller stated that as he attempted to turn left on Forbes Road a white pick-up truck crossed the solid yellow line, attempting to pass another vehicle, and struck the caller’s vehicle's right front end, causing minor damage. No injuries. 

At 9:59 p.m. police responded to a call of debit card misuse on Warren Street. Caller reported that someone had made a 1360.18 charge in Saudi Arabia. Caller had been in contact with the issuing credit union, which stated she will receive a full refund.
