Police Log: Lynn Woman Tries to Steal Baby Formula, Other Items From Target

At 11:43 a.m., police responded to Washington Street after a three-car accident. A vehicle rear-ended another car, which struck a third vehicle. There were no injuries and the damage was minor.

At 1:50 p.m., police arrested Danielle J. Witkowski, 25, 22 West Baltime St., Lynn, and charged her on two counts of shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise and being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant for shoplifting. Witkowski reportedly stole nine cans of Enfamil instant baby formula and then immediately returned to the store with a large black bag. She stuffed more baby formula in her bag, as well as three pairs of earrings and two DVDs. She then walked past the registers and toward the doors. Security apprehended her at the front door. Police found the Lynn woman had an open case for shoplifting and an active warrant out of Rockingham County in New Hampshire. Police made the arrest.

At 4:22 p.m., police responded to Main Street after a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist on Main Street. A bicyclist was traveling on Main Street when he collided with a vehicle. The bicyclist declined medical treatment. The front tire on the bike was bent and the car had a small scratch.

At 7:16 p.m., a Kimball Court reported that boots, two humidifiers, two digital camera SC cards and personal papers were stolen during a move. He found an empty bag, which contained the items, in the tree line.
