ARREST LOG: Man Assaulted for Prescription Drugs

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Feb. 18 –

At 2:13 a.m., Anthony R. Knox, 18, of 28 Seaview Ave. Apt. #1 in Malden, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot). According to police, a witness provided video of an altercation in which Knox was seen kicking the victim in the head. Witness statements corroborated the video footage, said police.

At 3:18 p.m., Brendan J. Doherty, 41, of 8 Liana Drive, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault and battery after police received a report of two men fighting on the front lawn.    

At 6:27 p.m., Brian Mansfield, 30, of 5 Wilson St. in Billerica, was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery. Ryan P. Skinner, 32, of 12 Green St. Apt. #4, was also arrested and charged with unarmed robbery. According to police, officers were dispatched to the Brickyard restaurant rear entrance for a report of a fight. Officers spoke to Mansfield and Skinner, as well as the victim, and determined that both men were aggressors in a fight over prescription drugs in the victim’s possession, reported police.

Feb. 19 –

At 12:47 a.m., Kerbeen Damascaus Joseph, 40, of 28 Charles St., was arrested and charged with vandalism of property (two counts, felony charge), disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an outstanding warrant.

At 9:18 p.m., Michael David Tinney, 29, of 8 Foster Ave. Apt. Basement, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. According to police, Tinney was taken into custody at the request of Wilmington Police who reported having probable cause for an assault and battery arrest. Police determined the assault occurred in Woburn and Tinney was taken to Woburn Police for booking.  

Feb. 20 –

At 8:34 a.m, Andre DeOliveira Freitas, 24, of 9 Ellis Court Apt. A, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations. According to police, Freitas was taken into custody after police saw that he was driving a car with a broken tail light during routine traffic patrol.
