POLICE LOG: Man Reports TV Crew At His House

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 22 – At 12:57 p.m., a Woburn man reported Channel 7 News was at his house earlier in the day, asking him if he tried to poison his neighbor’s dog. The man told police he was upset at the accusation because he is an “animal lover.” The man told police that he had called the Animal Control Officer over a neighbor’s dog and felt that the accusation was in retaliation.

Oct. 22 –

At 10:09 a.m., a Rumford Park Road man reported his car vandalized overnight. According to police, a derogatory ethnic term was carved onto the hood of the car and blue and purple paint were thrown onto the seats, console, dashboard and steering wheel.

At 11:57 a.m., police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Lexington Street. According to police, a motorcycle was traveling straight on Lexington when a car pulled out from Parker Street. Police said evidence at the scene showed the motorcycle swerved to avoid the collision before the driver was thrown from the bike. Police reported speed was not a factor in the crash.

At 12:25 p.m., Brett Sullivan, age not given, of 56 Day Circle, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery. According to police, the victim was at the Getty station on Lexington Street when she reported the incident. The victim told police Sullivan shook her and struck her head against the floor.

At 12:57 p.m., a Woburn man reported Channel 7 News was at his house earlier in the day, asking him if he tried to poison his neighbor’s dog. At 2:11 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident on Montvale Avenue off of the Route 93 off-ramp. There were no reported injuries.

At 5:05 p.m., a Salem Street woman reported three fraudulent charges from Time Life on her credit card. The woman said she did not authorize the charges, but did receive the CDs in the mail.
