POLICE LOG: Dog Owner Taunts Neighbor

Sept. 18 – At 8:01 p.m., police were called to a residence regarding an ongoing dispute. According to police, a woman reported that she and her husband had called the animal control officer regarding three dogs in the neighborhood who are outside a lot. The woman told police that earlier in the day the dogs’ owner had run toward her vehicle as she was driving and held up “his middle finger and kissed it at her.”

Other Incidents:
Sept. 18 –
At 1:26 p.m., a 60-year-old Somerville man was placed in protective custody. According to police, the man entered the Woburn Superior Court Probation Department for a drug test and was found to be intoxicated.
At 7:49 p.m., police responded to a 911 hang-up call. According to police, a woman told officers that she received a phone call from an unknown number and argued with her boyfriend over it. The woman told police she wanted the man out of the apartment. Police escorted the man off the property without incident.
At 9:18 p.m., dispatch received a report of suspicious activity in a Main Street rear parking lot. According to police, two people in a car told officers that they came to pick up the woman’s 15-year-old sister after she argued with her friend. Police spoke to the teen, who said that she was upset with her friend and asked to be taken home.
At 9:58 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Salem Street. According to police, a couple argued over the man saving other women’s cell phone numbers in his phone. Both people said that there was no physical argument. Police asked if both felt safe with the other for the night and they agreed. Police cleared the scene.
