POLICE LOG: Several Cars Broken Into On Commerce Way

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Dec. 20 –

At 5:16 p.m., a Reading woman reported her car broken into while parked at the Bertucci’s restaurant. According to police, the car window was smashed and items were rifled through. Nothing was taken, said police.

At 6:38 p.m., a Westford man reported his car broken into while parked at the Red Roof Inn. The rear window of the car was smashed and a flat-screen TV and Coach bag, newly purchased, were taken, said police.

At 10:05 p.m., a Reading man reported his car broken into while parked at the On The Border parking lot. According to police, the man’s daughter had parked the car while she worked at the restaurant. A window was broken, but nothing was taken, said police.

Dec. 19 –

At 6:34 p.m., a 35-year-old Lowell man was summonsed to Woburn District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to police, the man was summonsed after his involved in a motor vehicle accident at Cedar and Washington streets.

At 8:39 p.m., a Woburn woman reported someone used her credit information to purchase an expensive camera at Sears. The woman told police she did not make the purchase and did not authorize anyone to on her behalf.

At 10:19 p.m., police were called to the Boston Sports Club on Presidential Way for a report of a theft. According to police, a Quincy man and a Woburn man had several items stolen from a locked locker in the gym. Two iPads, two iPods, two laptops and several other items were taken, said police.

Dec. 20 –

At 1:13 p.m., police responded to a Chestnut Street address for a report of a disturbance. According to police, a couple argued over a possible infidelity. Police advised the man to talk a walk so that both parties could “cool down.”

At 2:52 p.m., police were dispatched to a New Boston Street business for a fight between employees. One man left the building for the day, said police.

At 3:22 p.m., Theoharoula Stasinos, 45, of 7 Everegreen Court in Woodstock, VT, was arrested and charged with shoplifting over $100 by concealing merchandise and two outstanding warrants. According to police, officers were called to TJ Maxx for a report of a shoplifter who was cooperating with employees. According to police, Stasinos had placed two cashmere sweaters down her pants and another under her shirt, then left the store. She was taken into custody by police.  

At 9:22 p.m., a Woburn woman reported her car keyed.
