Police Log: Suspect Steals Wallet From Break Room Locker

Tuesday, June 10

At 12:32 p.m., a Tremont Street resident reported a stolen cell phone. There were contractors working in the house and the cell phone went missing. Police spoke to the contractors, who denied taking the phone. Officers searched the property and found the cell phone was in an overgrown bushy area in front of the house. The resident said he did not want to pursue criminal charges.

At 1:16 p.m., a Woburn man reported identity theft. He said he received a letter to a bank welcoming him to the bank and saying he opened a new account. He contacted the bank, which said someone opened the account with the man’s social security number. No funds had been taken from the Woburn man.
