Police Log: Three Pistols, Other Items Stolen From Safe

At 8:45 a.m., police responded to Washington Street about a burglary. A business owner said someone entered the business over the weekend, broke into a safe and stole three pistols, a one-ounce silver bar, seven collector quarters, a liberty dollar, a hard drive and a black gun bag. Police are investigating.

At 11:33 a.m., a Veteran Road resident reported vandalism to a motor vehicle. Someone entered a vehicle, stole a radio/CD/cassette player and sliced leather seats and upholstery.

At 11:39 a.m., police received a call about a larceny by check at a New Boston Street business. The employee said a $375 check was cashed twice.

At 2:58 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Cambridge and Bedford roads. Both cars suffered significant damage and were towed. There were no injuries. One driver was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic while taking a left turn.

At 4:42 p.m., police received a call about credit card fraud. Someone used a card to spend $881 at a Cambridge Road business. The credit card closed the account when it was used fraudulently at a New York City hotel.

At 6:46 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Beach Street and Maple Avenue. Both cars suffered major damage. There were no injuries. One driver was cited for failing to use care and caution.
